Bexten’s Rubs……. What can you say about them that he hasn’t already said himself? If you check out his website (address will be below). Not very many rub companies will give you a back story as Bexten does. It is very interesting to hear or read about how an elderly couple he used to visit as a child as his inspiration for his rubs. I highly recommend you going to the website and reading his story. But, back to the story about the rub he sent me to review. Up for review today is Bexten’s Best Mango Peach Habanero Rub. Bexten’s Best Mango Peach Habanero Rub

Pro’s: Not very many people can mix the right amount of flavors of Mango, peach, and Habanero and be able to pull it off. Bexten pulled it off with flying colors. And then to throw Garlic and a few other flavors in there, and you got yourself one heck of a great tasting rub.

Con’s: Nothing bad that I could see here except that I didn’t have more stuff to put this rub on. May have to get some ribs and try it out on those.

Overall: Awesome rub, great flavor and the perfect amount of sweet & heat. Not to mention as you can see in the photo I posted about is the color on this pork butt. The reddish tint to it turned a beautiful brown once it finished smoking. OH, and I can forget about the juices from the Pork Butt. Man, I almost didn’t need any sauce for my pulled pork sandwich, the au jus would have been enough flavoring for me.
