Nothing says BBQ & cookouts like family. I love getting the family together and having a cookout like some burgers or something like that. What about smoking though, I don’t normally picture a family. I think of Dad (me) out by the smoker some awesome briskets or pork butts, or racks of ribs for days. Smoke rolling out of that smoker. Now think of your grandmother cooking up some meats and using a BBQ like no other. That is what you get from the Daigle Family, and their BBQ Products. What started with the grandmother introducing the family to a sweet & spicy rib sauce, has now blossomed into new sauces, rubs, recipes and lots of awards. They sent me a few products to review and I loved the products. Below is what they sent for review:
Cajun Sweet Pecan Garlic Sauce: Their #1 sauce. You can just look at the name and know what all flavors are going to be in there. This sauce I tell you what, it has it all. It’s listed as mainly a glaze for your ribs or chicken. But I was told to brush some on my brisket. I thought they were crazy. But, I’m glad I listened. Just before wrapping the brisket, I brushed some of this on and HOLY COW!!!! IT WAS AWESOME.
Pro’s: Great taste combo, this is the only sauce that I can remember that the whole family loved. Just enough heat to not be hot, the sweetness balances really well with the spicy. And the Garlic, man that is just a great kicker.
Cons: They didn’t send me the 4-gallon jug of it.
Overall: This stuff is a great sauce, never have I sauced my brisket, but it turned out extremely good. We had hamburgers the next night, and the kids asked me if I would put this sauce on them.
Strong Like Bull Beef Injection: Does this even need a description? Look at the name………you can figure it out. A special blend of spices and flavors went into making this stuff. Just add water and BAM……instant beef injection.
Pro’s: Quick and easy to make a beef injection, no having to think about what flavors to put in it or anything. Just simply add water and mix.
Cons: Doesn’t really smell like a beef injection.
That is it, nothing wrong with this product. I don’t normally inject my briskets but this turned out well. It gets a little extra flavor down inside the meat and man was that brisket juicy.
Daigle’s Brisket Rub: Again, went against the norm on this one. Normally I am just a Salt & Pepper kind of guy for my briskets. This rub turned out to have a nice color on the Brisket, before & after the cook. It also gave a great bark and that bad boy and tasted awesome.
Pro’s: Great mix of spices coming together to create one awesome rub.
Cons: There are none that I can think of, other than I could use some more.
Overall these products were great. Put all of them together on one Brisket, and WOW, you have one awesome 15lb brisket, that did not last long at all. This family is one BBQ that I would love to hang out with. Be sure to check out their website daiglesbbq.com or check them out on Facebook. Thank you, Daigle Family, for allowing me to do this review, and be on the lookout for the video coming up soon on our new YouTube Channel. Thank everyone, have a great day and God Bless.
