It isn’t very often that I get to deal with products outside of the grill other than the tools used to flip, poke, take temperature or baste the meat. But this product is a little bit more outside the grill than those. Tuffy Mat is a rubber mat that you can set you grill or smoker on to catch all the spills and what not. So here we go with the review.

Here we have a mat that covers a good area big enough for most the grills out there today. This bad boy is 30”x 42” (and soon to come a 30” x 60” mat for the larger grills and smokers) of black rubber. It is heat resistant and can resist all animal fats, fish oils and greases and sauces. So, it is perfect for keeping the area around or below your grill or smoker clean. Has a 10-year warranty, and easy to clean up.

Pro’s: 1st and Foremost, this product is Made In the USA. They help the environment with making these mats from Semi Truck tires. This product is made up with over 70% recycled Semi Truck tires. Now I know I mostly talked about this being below the grill, but you can use it just about anywhere you want to add a little protection and keep clean.

Cons: LOL, this one is only a temporary con. It has a strong rubber smell when you 1st get it. Now I want to strongly point out that this smell dissipates after a few days of airing out.

Overall: Other than the rubber smell, (which again, will be gone in a day or so), this a great product to have around. Not just for your grill or smoker, but throw it in the back of your SUV for when the kids have those muddy pads from the football game. Dirty cleats from baseball won’t be an issue with this mat
